Of Blogger Nannies and Blogging Battles

Some of you may have read the NY Times article by the mom who fired her nanny for blogging. Since you will n ow have to pay for the article - it started like this -

Our former nanny, a 26-year-old former teacher with
excellent references, liked to touch her breasts while reading The New Yorker
and often woke her lovers in the night by biting them. She took sleeping pills,
joked about offbeat erotic fantasies involving Tucker Carlson and determined
she'd had more female sexual partners than her boyfriend.
Making the non blogging public go Ooh, how shocking, what a slut!

Anyway the said nanny has posted a stunning reposte - which I think should be read, for its amazing display of controlled and intelligent outrage. See here

Its also a fascinating example of the mini explosions that can take place when the blogging and non blogging worlds collide. Bloggers beware!
Comments:
comments are most definitely plugs, but much appreciated.

Incidentally, as a fellow travelling fanatic, I'm really jealous of anyone who has been to Marrakech.

Having said that, you have to watch and read anything Michael Palin has ever done, from Around the World in 80 Days to Hemingway Adventure and Himalaya.

Hi there, Welcome! I am a huge Palin fan. I used to watch his travel shows when in India acually. Did you know he was a star in the hilarious Monty Python series!

..and blessed are the cheesemakers

of course! I've been a python fan ever since the first time I saw the swedish credits for Monty Python and the Holy grail

This is sick. Just because the nanny was giving vent to her emotions in a blog didn't entitle her to such shoddy treatment.

As long as she did her job well and taught the kids proper things, the nanny was entitled to proper pay and respect from the mother. Sad bitch her, firing a nanny just because of such trivial things
